The recent death of Gary Gygax has triggered a wave of saddness from gamers around the globe, and for good reason. Think of all the dungeon-crawlers you’ve ever played: Diablo, Elder Scrolls, World of Warcraft, etc. Would any of those games have been created if not for the invention of Dungeons and Dragons? I highly doubt it.
